The mission
The primary goal of this project was to enhance loss prevention awareness and ethical practices within the workplace, targeting both team members and company leadership. The mission centered on ensuring a safe, secure, and ethical environment through an engaging eLearning experience seamlessly integrating educational content with practical application.
Building the concept
The lesson included third-party educational videos featuring lively cartoon characters. I brought the characters into the eLearning to maintain continuity across the modules, spark interest, and keep the learner engaged. Adobe Photoshop was used to seamlessly transfer these characters from the videos into the Articulate Rise lesson. Key strategies included using interactive blocks, like the Process block, to demonstrate actionable steps for reporting misconduct.
The incorporation of Peloton’s policy overview was not just essential but also innovatively tackled. I created an accessible scrolling video with accompanying audio using MS PowerPoint, a format that caters to visual and auditory learners. This was further complemented by a downloadable PDF version of the policy, which accommodates those who prefer reading. This approach was designed with your learning style in mind, making the legal content more digestible and engaging.
Additionally, the development of gamified scenarios using Articulate Storyline was at the heart of the concept. These scenarios simulated real-life situations and empowered learners to apply their knowledge in practical settings. This way, I reinforced the learning objectives and improved engagement while boosting confidence in the learner’s abilities.
Impressive result
The execution led to a dynamic eLearning program where associates actively participated in gamified scenarios, applying their knowledge to make informed decisions regarding loss prevention. This interactive approach, coupled with a scoring system, ensured the retention of critical information and the practical application of policies in workplace scenarios. A minimum score requirement for passing the exercise validated understanding and engagement. The lesson was enriched with accessible resources like the Code of Conduct, Policies + Procedures, and Reporting Policy, alongside feedback for each decision point, creating a well-rounded and impactful learning experience.
